One Week Down!

I cannot believe it has already been over one week that my group has been in Morocco! I have already learned so much about the history, culture, and language during my time here that I can only imagine the knowledge I will have obtained by the end of the trip! I have been requested to add any and all pictures I have taken (and believe me there are plenty) of the places I have visited. Inshallah I will have them published in the next couple of days.

My first week of classes has been extremely challenging. The language I once thought I had a grasp of has proven to be far more complex and beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I have two classes every day with two different professors that correlate their lessons with one another. They are instructed in 100% Arabic which, I found, is the best way to learn. After I finish at 1 pm I return home to my amazing host family and await iftar. I will also be posting about the wide variety of foods that have been prepared for us by our host mom who is BY FAR the best cook in Fes.

I have visited many iconic and historical sites both in Fez and surrounding cities. Keep your eyes peeled for my next blog post about the beautiful garden we visited named Jnan Sbil and the Roman ruins of Meknes.

!مع السلامة
